Augmented World Expo 2023 Recap!

Companies and individuals from around the world gathered in Santa Clara, CA from May 31st to June 2nd for three action-packed days where AWE delivered an immersive journey into the world of extended reality (XR). From inspiring cutting-edge XR experiences, demonstrations, and presentations by industry leaders, to mind-blowing tech innovations and captivating use-cases, AWE showcased what's possible and whatโ€™s next for the $38+ billion dollar XR industry! ๐Ÿš€

I wonโ€™t try to cover everything I experienced at the sprawling event, but standout focus areas were, Privacy and Safety, Business and Development, Design and Interactivity, Communication and Collaboration, Health and Wellness, Audio, AI and Gaming. Oh, and speculation on Appleโ€™s long anticipated MR headset "Vision Pro" that would be announced three days after the event. There was something to captivate and inspire everyone.๐Ÿ’ก

Networking was a highlight of AWE, with daily socials and evening parties, and ample opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals, speakers, and seasoned experts who have shaped the XR industry. I made the most of expanding networks, exchanging ideas, and looking for opportunities to collaborate on the future of XR, and immersive audio, and Iโ€™m so thankful to the individuals I met with who took time to talk, provide thoughtful insights, connect on LinkedIn, and have fun at the event. ๐Ÿค

I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to AWE staff for their leadership and generosity hosting such a diverse, valuable, and memorable event, and for encouraging industry professionals like myself and others impacted by recent layoffs to attend the event in person with discounted or compensated tickets.

I can't wait for the next AWE and hope to see you there!
