Mixed Reality Music Recommendation Prototype
This Unity prototype showcases our team’s hackathon music recommendation experience on the Oculus Quest Pro mixed reality device using Meta's Presence Platform capabilities. It utilizes AR Passthrough, Scene Understanding, and Spatial Anchors to seamlessly integrate virtual records into the real-world environment. With Hand Tracking and the Interaction SDK, users can interact with virtual 3D objects using natural hand movements. The Audio SDK enhances the experience with spatial audio, such as the sound of record shards exploding on the wall and sliding across the room. This proof-of-concept prototype was recognized in a re-Tweet by Meta’s CTO Andrew Bosworth and in an online article published to UploadVR you can check out here.
For this team effort at the Meta Presence Platform Hackathon, I served as the sound design lead recording, curating and designing music and sound content for our Unity project.
